Intimations
Thank you to all who donated gifts for Women's Aid last week. Two cars full were given, along with some monetary donations. We posted a picture on our Fb page and one member received this WhatsApp message: Please send my thanks and prayers to the people of Inchinnan Parish Church for their generosity shown to Women's Aid, it brought a ear to my eye when I saw the post. This was form a woman who had used the services of Women's Aid so please know your gifts are much appreciated.
I hope everyone who went enjoyed the Panto yesterday - thanks to those who organised it.
A thanks as well to Len Seath and Alan Stewart who you may be unaware of but they have been going round all our blow heaters, cleaning and checking them, fixing if required. A huge thanks to the time they have spent on this.

CH4 281 People look east (omit vs 3)

People, look east. The time is near
of the crowning of the year.
Make your house fair as you are able,
trim the hearth and set the table.
People, look east and sing today:
Love, the guest, is on the way.
Furrows, be glad. Though earth is bare,
one more seed is planted there:
give up your strength the seed to nourish,
that in course the flower may flourish.
People, look east and sing today:
Love, the rose, is on the way.
Angels, announce with shouts of mirth
Christ who brings new life to earth.
Set every peak and valley humming
with the word, the Lord is coming.
People, look east and sing today:
Love, the Lord, is on the way
HYMN Joyful, joyful vs 1 & 3
Joyful, joyful, we adore thee,
God of glory, Lord of love;
hearts unfold like flow'rs before thee,
op'ning to the sun above.
Melt the clouds of sin and sadness;
drive the dark of doubt away.
Giver of immortal gladness,
fill us with the light of day!
Thou art giving and forgiving,
ever blessing, ever blest,
wellspring of the joy of living,
ocean depth of happy rest!
Thou our Father, Christ our brother,
all who live in love are thing
Teach us how to love each other;
lift us to the joy divine!
