Fundraising Thanks:
The Quiz held on 23rd April raised £246 for church funds, thanks to all who organised and all who attended.
Thanks to all who supported the Afternoon Tea on Saturday 25th April. We enjoyed delicious food, wonderful entertainment and great fellowship. £745 was raised for church funds.
Christian Aid:
We hold our Christian Aid worship with a lunch afterwards next week 10th May. The recent Sponsored walk raised £345 (total £1,100 from Renfrew and Inchinnan Group combined) and another £590 from our Praise Night.
Waverley Trip - 9th May:
The Waverley departs from the Glasgow Science Centre at 9.30am and arrives at Rothesay at 12.45pm. We have over 3 hours ashore returning at 4.25pm and arriving back in Govan at 8.40pm. Parking at the Science Centre costs £9.50 for up to 12 hours. You should be at the departure point at least 10 minutes prior to departure with the gangway opening about 30 minutes before. If you require a lift to the Science Centre and back please see Elizabeth McAdam. Tickets will be distributed soon. Due to the increase in marine oil prices the Waverley Group are now adding a surcharge of £4 to each ticket. However, as we booked our trip well in advance, the group is not applying the surcharge to our booking. They have, however ,asked if passengers will be willing to donate towards the increased cost. If you are willing to donate £1, Elizabeth McAdam will arrange to send that in.
Church Fete:
As part of the summer celebrations and the fete this year we are planning a Princess and Pirate Trail for children to follow around the village. If you are willing to have a Princess or a Pirate poster at your home please see Elizabeth McAdam.
Inchinnan Historical Interest Group:
The annual outing is to Whitehall Barracks, Glasgow Road, Paisley. The Barracks which are soon to be reopened as a museum were built in response to the radical war of 1822. All welcome on the evening of Wednesday 27th May, please speak to a member of the IHIG Committee or email ihig597@hotmail.com if you would like to come along. We can arrange to share transport if necessary.

Spirit of God,
unseen as the wind,
gentle as is the dove
Teach us the truth
and help us believe,
show us the Saviour's love.
You spoke to us
long, long ago,
gave us the written word;
we read it still, needing its truth through it
God's voice is heard.
Without your help
we fail our Lord,
we cannot live His way;
we need your power,
we need your strength,
following Christ each day.
